University of Virginia, B.A. History, 1997

Allyson has been involved with the Congressional School community since 2008 - as a parent, as a faculty member, and as an interim member of the administration. As a member of the Congressional parent community, Allyson has served as a CSPO Room Parent, a member of the Gala Committee, and Co-Chair of the Gala.  She has worked for Congressional School in a professional capacity: as a Preschool Teacher Assistant for seven years; as Interim Director of Advancement; providing data and administrative support for several Gala events; and as a substitute teacher. Allyson and her husband Tim are proud to continue supporting Congressional School as parents of two alumni (classes of '18 and '21).

Allyson graduated from the University of Virginia in 1997 with a degree in History. Prior to joining the faculty at Congressional School as a Preschool Teacher Assistant in Mrs. Welty's classroom, she worked for 17 years at Fannie Mae in varying capacities supporting the Financial Accounting and Capital Markets technical teams and business areas. In her work as a Database Administrator and as a Business Analyst, Allyson supported audit and financial reporting closing cycles; conducted systems testing from a technical and business use case perspective for regular systems upgrades and special projects; and acted as a liaison between the business and technical teams working on project definitions, requirements, scope and timelines.
