Head of School Innovation Grants for Faculty

Mandy Limberg, 4th Grade  Teacher

Grant Funded Project:
Teachers Mentoring Teachers: Practices for Powerful Professional Communities.

Curriculum can be positively impacted by teacher retention, mentorship, and professional development. Co-teaching and instructional coaching within a mentorship program can strengthen our pedagogical approach as a school as well. A strong mentorship program should benefit both the mentee and the mentor.

"Through the Harvard Graduate School of Education course, "Teachers Mentoring Teachers: Practices for Powerful Communities," I will be able to develop skills designed to connect my experience to effective mentoring, use cycles of inquiry to evaluate personal and social challenges, and establish strategies for co-teaching and supporting early career teachers."
