COMMUNITY SERVICE
December 25 Day of Service
Visit social service agencies in the metro DC area to prepare and serve meals, sing carols, throw holiday parties, or play bingo – or stay at the Edlavitch DCJCC to donate blood, make instant meal kits, create cards for emergency personnel working on Christmas Day, and more. Choose your project based on location, type of activity, or time of day – we have something for people of all ages and abilities!

Bikes for the World
Bikes for the World makes good quality used bicycles available to low-income people in developing countries. These reconditioned donated bikes provide an affordable and effective means of transportation, providing essential access to work, school, and social services and empowering individuals and entire communities. Bicycle donations can be made at established drop-off locations.

READ Book Fairy
Volunteer For two hours a month, become a READ Book Fairy and help deliver books directly to families homes. As READ grows, they continue to need more Book Fairies. This is a great opportunity for your family to work together, for friends to catch up, or even for some alone time in the car to listen to a great audiobook of your choice!

The Virginia All-State Children's Chorus
Four Congressional students will participate in The Virginia All-State Children's Chorus with 150 students from across Virginia on April 26, 2025. The concert will take place at Unity Reed High School in Manassas, VA. When ticket purchasing goes live, a link will be shared if you would like to support them!
