Interim STEM Educator

B.S., Biology, Bridgewater College

Emily Schloss joined Congressional as the Interim STEM Educator for grades K-8. Emily has been a Day Camp Counselor and Nature Specialist with Congressional Summer Camp for the past seven years, where she has planned and taught classes for many ages of campers, inspiring them to learn and appreciate nature and the outdoors. Emily received her B.S. in Biology from Bridgewater College in Virginia where she was a peer tutor. She worked in the Biology Department where she cared for more than 100 animals, and she was a member of the college’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Advocacy Center. Emily also engaged in various research projects while completing her biology degree and received a foundation award to study in Australia during the summer of 2022.
