ISABELLE ROVINSKY
Middle School French Teacher
A.B.S., University of Bordeaux
B.A. George Mason University
M.Ed Curriculum and Instruction, George Mason University
Isabelle joined Congressional in 2013 as our Middle School French Teacher. Isabelle taught French for Fairfax County Public Schools and also taught at Planet Language in Bethesda. Isabelle notes, “I really enjoy teaching French, and I also feel that the value of multilingualism is unequivocal; on a global scale, better knowledge of foreign languages facilitates opportunities to travel or work abroad. On an individual level, it’s one of the most mind-opening intellectual experiences a person can have.”
Originally from France, Isabelle enjoys the opportunity to travel home to visit family. She and her family always try to enjoy a side trip to other European countries. Here in the United States, Isabelle and her family like to visit the National Parks. Outside of school, she can be found cooking French cuisine and other types of food, and playing golf.
“I became a teacher because I love kids. A teacher owns a special place in each student’s life. The fact that I could possibly influence a young person’s life is exciting to me.”
