Working with Infants and Toddlers at a Distance
Our youngest students in our Early Childhood program are getting into virtual learning with hands-on projects, videos and online meetings with their teachers and friends. Watch a Facebook video of some of our youngest students dancing and singing withe their teachers.
Living Green Screens
Fifth graders worked to create 3-D models of aspects of the Civil War and then, using green screen technology, stepped inside their projects to explain what they learned about the subject. See the student presentations on YouTube.
School Spirit Continues
Our Student Council is still meeting online as a group to plan events and represent their fellow students. They've been discussing how distance learning is going and recently declared a Spirit Day - Hat or Headband Day!
Hard but Good Conversations
The LEAD (Leaders for Equity, Advancement, and Diversity) group meets virtually - led by our LEAD executive board (pictured). The most recent topic discussed in the group was "Negative Stereotypes and COVID-19." We appreciate the students' interest in safe conversation around important topics!
What Our Parents Are Saying
The teachers have created amazing content, especially when they had to ramp up very quickly!! You might have a set of future YouTube stars on your hands!
Infant & Toddler
Teachers are absolutely crushing it and making this a great experience for the kids.
Infant & Toddler, Junior Kindergarten, 3rd Grade
Great schedule and lots of opportunities for interactions. Educators do a great job keeping us informed of what's happening.
3rd Grade
My child is waking-up ON TIME and ready and prepared to go online. My child is doing better, concentrating better (perhaps because there are no other distractions around).. and is much better organized that I have ever seen this kid.
8th Grade
I think everything is going well. Teachers are doing an excellent job.
4th & 6th Grade
I really like how the school provides opportunities for social/emotional interaction as well as educational.
Junior Kindergarten & Grade 3
Level of communication has been strong. The teachers have been easy to reach.
Grade 1
Very, very pleased with the quality and quantity of lessons, videos, and resources that are being shared for Kindergarten.
Kindergarten
I'm seeing excellent engagement from teachers. Everything feels organized, and the energy is high. I'm impressed by the creativity and commitment to teaching the curriculum in new ways. My children are engaged and happy, and they are expanding their independence. Keep up the good work!
Grades 2 & 3
It is incredible to see the reaction of my kids when they get to interact with their teachers. It's clear how much those teachers have impacted my kids. Beautiful to watch.
