Taking Teaching Personally

Congressional’s dynamic, talented, and experienced faculty know their students as well as they know how to teach them. Committed to each student’s intellectual and personal growth, teachers are ready with a nudge, a hug, or whatever is needed to engage and inspire.

TAKING TEACHING PERSONALLY

"I am a parent of a middle school student who has attended Congressional since pre-school. I have been thrilled with the caring attitude of the teachers and administration throughout. There are a number of exceptional teachers, and I cannot be more pleased with how our child has done academically, which has included very good results in standardized tests and national academic contests."

Teachers are the heart of the school, the ones who make education come alive. Take one minute and hear what a few of our parents are saying about their child's experience with our teachers.

#TeacherFeature

We're proud of each of our teachers and want our community to know it. Each Friday in our fun, Week in Review email, we give a shout out to one of our faculty members. These are just a few of our features from throughout this year.

Mihail Belicev or "Coach B"

PE TEACHER AND ATHLETICS COACH

Years at Congressional: 4

What is unique about our athletic program as a k-8 school?
"At Congressional students have the unique opportunity to learn about and be a part of their favorite sport. Since we do not implement tryouts and cuts, all students regardless of ability and talent can experience what it means to be part of a team, including putting their best efforts forth, losing, winning and team spirit."

MUSIC TEACHER

Why is music so important in a k-8 education?
"If students are exposed to a variety of different musical genres and learn to play music at a young age, they establish a sense of confidence, passion, and sensitivity. They become people with beautiful hearts."
