PARENT ORGANIZATION
Congressional School is known for its vibrant community and family-like atmosphere and parent involvement is an essential ingredient. The mission of the Congressional School Parent Organization (CSPO) is to “Welcome Families and Build Community” and it accomplishes this through planning and hosting various large, fun, social events and activities and by supporting teachers as Room Parents and volunteers.
In addition, the CSPO helps to facilitate proactive communication between the school and families. All parents are CSPO members.

A wonderful community celebration that invites families to share their traditions, customs, and food and culture.
TIP OFF CLASSIC
A great night of basketball games, and school spirit, and a popular event that brings back alumni.
BINGO NIGHT
These nights are designed to be fun, social gatherings for children and their families.
FACULTY APPRECIATION
An annual opportunity to thank our faculty for their dedication to our students.
BONFIRE & BBQ
Annual fall event where BBQ’ers are invited to enter their favorite BBQ item or side dish to share with our community.

Organization of independent schools in the Washington, DC area, that aims to “foster better communication among students, parents and independent schools.”
